My Creative Presence
My name is Alexander. I'm an 18 year old based in Toronto (at the moment), striving to be a force in the music industry someday. My music is entirely written by me, melodies are done by me as well. My biggest inspirations is Katy Perry. She has made me the artist I am today. I strive be creative, ground breaking, fresh, modern, and especially camp.
I would love to be signed by a record label that would treat me fairly, let me express my creative ideas, and most importantly support me in my journey.
I grew up with parents who were divorced since I was 3 and constant family problems. I've struggled with myself, stresses, unforeseen circumstances, up and downs, happy times, and everything. My songs represent my life and whatever I am feeling. Music is the way I can let my feelings out, and hopefully people will be able to connect my songs someday.
In terms of my musical interest, I love all types of music. As I said, my biggest inspiration is Katy Perry and I'd literally die if she noticed my work someday. Other artists who I love so much are: Britney Spears, Bruno Mars, The Weeknd, and Lady Gaga. All these artists have inspired me greatly. I also prefer music that's more than 3 minutes so as you will notice, most of my songs are more than 3 minutes long. Side note: if the music I'm listening to moves me, then it moves me! I don't care who it's by, what the metacritic score is, how many sales it got, or if it got 100 awards-- I think music taste is subjective to everyone and that's the beauty about the language of music. Everyone is different and that's okay!
My ultimate dream would be able to put out MERCURIAL with a label that supports me and my vision. The icing on the cake would be for people to appreciate my music and sing it with me on tour! I know it sounds unrealistic, but it's a goal and a hope of mine.
