My Visions

This page is dedicated to showcasing my ideas for my different songs that I want to include on my album MERCURIAL. Though I will not be revealing all the song titles, I will be describing them and my visions for each song. The titles that I put in will be the emotion I feel in each song-- not necessarily the song title (ex. happy, sad, anger)

Be sure to read my ideas for the visuals/vision for each song :)

Moving On - Intro

The intro song to MERCURIAL is a slow ballad to ease into the album. The song is about how you need to move on from someone who did you wrong but you just can't. This song is all about my first ever heartache. I imagine this song to be in a small piano bar in an alley way while it's raining in the evening. Very vibey.

02

Hate

This is not about hating someone else. It's about myself. I'm not promoting self hate-- it's mainly about my insecurities. I struggle with my weight and I actually wrote this song on the treadmill. I imagine the visuals of this song being in a mirror maze and just looking at reflections of myself yelling at me.

03

embarassement

This song is a ballad that's very lyrically deep. It's about how I want to be myself without people judging me or stereotyping. My vision would be me going at regular pace with everyone else moving faster than slower.

04

Sadness

This song is one of my favourite songs on the album. It's probably the first full song that I finished on the album. It's about how certain things cause me sadness and they don't know it for some reason. The visuals are drowned, underwater Atlantis even. I think it would also be cool to be drowning in literally words like an alphabet soup.

05

guilt

This song is about two people wanting to be with each other but they can't. It's in the perspective of me seeing two people wanting to be together, and basically they're singing to each other. My vision would be an old money rich type Romeo and Juliet but with a bitter sweet ending.

06

Fear

This is also one of my favourite songs on the album. This song is about fearing the reaction of people when I am my true self. It's about how I think I'll lose everyone I care about just because of my personality. My vision is a scream type homage. Basically ghostface is after me. Maybe there's a cameo or two-- and then at the end, he kills me and ghostface ends up being me, meaning I'm my worst enemy, or I get away in the end and ghostface dies.

07

Rebellion

I wrote the first two sentences of this song at the beginning of 2021, gave up on it, and got motivation to write it again and wrote it in 30 minutes. This song is one big metaphor about how I felt like I was constrained for so long and now I just want to go to the opposite end of the spectrum. But once I see the other side, I realize that both sides are bad. My vision for this would be just a sick music video. I'd love a Las Vegas type video like Katy did in 2009, I think that would be cool.

08

Pride

This song is about my crave for fame. Even though this song talks about how I want fame, it's a whole hyperbole of what "I had/have to do to get famous." I would imagine the visuals of this video being old hollywood, maybe modern-ish hollywood (2000s), paparazzi, red carpet, everything.

10

separation

The 10th song on MERCURIAL is a slower song, and it's about my struggles with separation. I sing about how I wish there was a time where not everyone was so separated. It's a very personal song that's one of my favourites. In terms of visuals, I imagine it to be a slow music video where the colour is faded, and it's just sad. Pure sadness.

Mood swing

This song is about when you're happy and suddenly that time passes and you're sad. It's more in depth than that, but it relates to when you experience something fun/amusing/satisfying whatever, and then it's done. Like post-sadness. For visuals, I imagine something psychedelic and confusing to the eye. Something creepy yet cool is something I want.

11

Nostalgia

One of the prettier songs on this album is about how I struggle with moving on. I crave nostalgia and live off of it. Anything that gives me an ounce of nostalgia, I love. That's partly why this album is 2000s inspired. It's about how I want someone to take me back in time to when I was a kid. For visuals, I imagine it to be weird yet cool. Something like flying through the clouds, whales in the clouds, lots of blues, whites, greys, upside-down rain, futuristic, cars in the sky, things like that.

12

Anger

This song is a pure revenge/hate/anger song. I go all out. This song is the first song I truly finished and knew it was good. This song is about how I don't want to hear your fake apologies, and that I'm over it. It's a great closer because it's interesting, powerful, and different from the rest of the album but it still completes the story. The rest of the album is about what makes me sad/mad/angry, while this song just says "whatever, I'm over it." My vision for this song is a well produced video with people crying but no tears falling out (like fake crying/apologies). I want it to take place in an abandoned house during sunrise/sunset, where a crocodile walks around the empty house. I'm there singing and everytime a water drops on me, that part of my skin turns to scales.
